TO MOTHER short film (2020)

 

This film is a visual interpretation of a musical composition by Turkmen composer Rovshen Nepesov, exploring memory, and the bond between mother and son. 

It was shaped by a real ritual: at the end of each concert, Nepesov would offer flowers to his mother, a constant and silent witness to his work. Featuring the composer’s real mother in her final on-screen appearance, the film reflects on how love carried through sound, memory, and artistic expression.
