TO MOTHER short film (2020)

          "The short film represents a philosophical exploration of the eternal bond between mother and son, expressed through the creative lens of the Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Rovshen Nepesov. Nepesov invited me to select one of his compositions that resonated most deeply with me to create a visual interpretation of the music.  This process of selection became a meditative journey, culminating in a piece dedicated to his mother.

          This composition evoked memories of Nepesov’s touching tradition: at the end of each concert, he would present flowers to his mother, a faithful listener who never missed a performance. I’m grateful we were able to capture his real mother in the film—you can see her at the end of the short. Sadly, she is no longer with us, but her influence and love continue to live on in the heart of the composer, reflected in his music.

          This work is a visual ode to a mother’s love, which continues to nourish and protect her son. "
